This box is made really well. It would be perfect in every way, BUT it won't actually close if you have any tea bags standing up. I drink a lot of tea, and I bought this for the purpose of organizing it. I wanted a tea organizer that took away the hassle of sorting through all of my different boxes. The only way to close this box is if you have the bags laying down, which defeats the purpose of buying this box unless you have exactly 8 different types of tea.If this box was just a tiny bit taller it would be perfect. I'm probably going to send it back. :(

I understand why it was only $12. However, I have never received this low of quality item when ordering from amazon, so this is a first bad review for me. The pictures don’t show the dirt and dust that came on it. I tried to clean it up and tighten screws, but it seemed like it was stripped. When you put the tea bags in the box, the cubes around the side won’t allow you to close the top fully, as the top frame is a little wider than the base frame. When opening the lid, it just feels like it’s going to break, it’s flimsy. Hopefully this was just a fluke item, but I am going to return it.

There is certainly nothing "NATURAL" about the funky chemical odor that smacks you in the face as soon as you remove the bubble wrap from this tea box! Even after letting the box air out overnight, it STILL has a very strong chemical smell--inside and out! There is no way I am putting my tea bags inside... I'm guessing they would absorb the odor, and I'm worried about ingesting that same chemical! (A small label on the bottom of the tea box mentions Formaldehyde.)

I initially got one of these for myself and liked it so much I got one for my mom. I love drinking tea, but it can get chaotic trying to store the tea, so I thought this box would be a classy option. It comes wrapped in a bubble wrap envelope inside a retail box, so it’s packaged well and is giftable. There’s plastic film to protect the clear window as well. Both of mine had a strong odor, almost like moth balls, so I let it air out with the lid open for a few days. That solved the odor problem and my tea tastes great. There’s 8 divided sections and I could fit about 18 packaged teabags per section for a total of 144 in the box. That’s cramming them in a bit, but it works fine. I don’t think I’d put unwrapped tea bags directly in it, but I’d wrap them in foil or wax to store in the box.The box seems very well made and is beautifully designed. I feel fancy every time I grab a tea bag out of it. It could be used for other things as well, like jewelry, snacks or small office supplies.I think this is a beautiful and functional storage box and highly recommend it for yourself or a gift. I’m very pleased with it!

I had all my tea bags in my pantry, some in the boxes they came in and some just lose sitting around it took up so much space and looked messy. I was on vacation and stayed at a vacation rental home and saw that they had a bamboo tea box and it really made me want to drink tea, it looked so inviting and cozy next to the tea kettle. As soon as I got home I searched for one on Amazon and found this one; the price is great and the quality is perfect. It has 8 compartments and they are pretty deep, I couldn't believe it held all my teas so perfectly! Now I have all my teas in one place and it looks beautiful. So happy with this purchase.

The Good:This box is heavier and feels more substantial than you'd expect. The bamboo is thick. The entire product is actually quite heavy for bamboo. The plexiglass window is clear and lightweight. Helps lessen the weight considerably. An entire box of Bigelow tea bags fits laying flat, when you alternate the stack. The Bigelow Benefits fits with 6 bags to spare. Tazo fits. Twinings fits. Thicker bags may have extras, but thinner/standard wrapped tea bags will fit an entire box.The bad:Unfortunately, this product suffers from quality control issues. My box arrived flawlessly shipped with no dented corners. The box arrived with a loose screw in one hinge, a broken lip that holds the plexiglass (acrylic plastic sheet) view window into the lid, and a crack in the bottom panel along the seam between two bamboo pieces. You either seem to get a good one when you get a good one, or a terrible one when you get a bad one. Keep this is kind when you order this product.

What a bargain, little magnets to hold the lid. It might need a small handle to help open it or just a thumb notch to give you a place to pry it open. You can stand the packets up or lay them down in the square holes. They hold quite a few bags each if you turn them in alternation. Really cute box. I keep mine in the dining room on a bookcase shelf. Makes a nice presentation when company comes by. Plexiglass in lid is a good idea. I would not put Celestial Seasonings teas in here though since they are in wax paper enclosures in the boxes that probably keeps them fresher. But, for anyone that has their bags in separate sealed pouches, like Bigelow or Stash, this is perfect. This would make a good gift, along with an assortment of teas.

This is a great box if you are a tea drinker. There are eight different slots to store your teas. I have mine organized according to medicinal purposes. As long as you are leaving the box on your counter, it is being used by adults, and you don't stack anything on top of it...it should last you. I've had mine for over year now.The box is wood with a clear panel at the top that is plastic. There is a magnetic closure but the lid will not close all the way when there are teabags in it.This is actually the second box I have purchased. I have so many teas that I have an additional one in my pantry.Overall I'm happy with the product although it would be nice if the lid could close all the way.

My husband is all about economy and saving counter space in the kitchen. And he's from England so he likes good tea. And there are rules: in northern England, you have tea about 6x a day and it's basically a cuppa during each meal and snacks in between. They like to keep up their strength. We drink tons of coffee too and hubby requires actually grinding of beans and fresh brewing...none of this keurig stuff. Water for tea must start at a rolling boil and the tea must steep for 3-5 minutes depending on the sort and strength of it. Coffee should never be boiled because it can actually burn the coffee flavor (in addition to your mouth). As soon as I received the first of these boxes, I ordered another. They hold all brands well, even with slight variation in size of the packaging (though real tea enthusiasts will also use loose tea, I prefer less mess and so rely on tea bags, especially with strings.) I can display all my tea clearly or stack the boxes as I like. One of my fave purchases of late. Nice quality.

The tea box just arrived in adequate boxing and packaging and no apparent damage. The protective plastic sheets over the two window sides were pulled away cleanly and without ripping. The two pairs of magnets in the lid and the body opposite the hinges give a satisfying click when they snap together as the lid is closed. The clear material in the lid is not substantial, so care will need to be taken not to place heavy items on top of the tea box. Stacking exactly-sized tea boxes might be accomplished, but is not recommended because careless handling could lead to damage. The eight compartments are nicely sized to hold the individually-packaged tea bags traditionally provided by tea vendors. However, it is with no small amount of chagrin that I just opened a box of 100 Lipton tea bags that are not individually wrapped, but are stored in paper trays of 25, then sealed in plastic as a row of saltine crackers. The individual tea bags leave tea dust in the paper trays, and I assume they will leave similar droppings in the bamboo tea box. After decades of individual packaging, Lipton has chosen the least polite moment to devolve their tea bag packaging vis-a-vis my home storage arrangements. A tea box compartment that comfortably holds ten individually-wrapped bags will hold sixteen unwrapped bags, leaving tea powder in the bottom of the compartments. Perhaps a set of rinse-able plastic compartment liners could be invented and marketed. Yes, we are living in interesting times.

I love this thing. I bought it because I just had stacks of tea boxes on my tea stand. This REALLY cleared things up. My favorite feature is the magnetic top. My least favorite feature is that the clear top is plastic instead of glass. The only complaint is I had a scuff over one of the in sections, but it wasn't enough to make me want to return it. Totally recommend for organizing your prepackaged tea. It is sturdy and aesthetically pleasing on any counter or coffee table.

Brought so much order to my cupboard and helped declutter the excessive packaging. I still have other teas that don't come individually wrapped but this organization and clear top gives me a sense of calm that goes hand in hand with tea drinking. I think the tea box is good vale for money as it doesn't feel cheap and good enough for everyday use. Wouldn't consider it "giftable" but it's a nice thought if you have a relative who has been complaining about a cupboard full of unruly tea boxes.

I love teas and at any given time, I have minimum 5 kinds of tea that I regularly use. So any tea box I buy has to hold minimum 50 teabags, sizes ranging from my tiny Lipton black tea bags to my fat, yellow Yerba mates. That is why I was sceptical of this tea box. With the fast shipping and optimum packaging, my scepticism didn't last. This box is awesome! Not only it holds all my teas, the box is of a decent quality too. The material is very similar to the bamboo utensils I use for cooking. The hinged lid has a thin transparent pane. I could see a better product with a good glass panel, but I doubt if that could have kept the product in the same price range. This product is perfect for my needs and I am happy with the price and quality too. Thanks Amazon!Definitely recommended!

I gave this as a gift for Christmas and when my friend opened it the edges were pulled apart like the staples weren't secured enough. I was mortified and took it and tried to squeeze the two pieces of board together. It pretty much worked but I was embarrassed at how cheap it seemed. I hope it holds up for her. I know it was only $20 bucks but it seems like they could have made sure the boards were securely stapled. Would not recommend for a gift.

Purchased two of these boxes, on a special deal, here on Amazon. Had not thought of this way to store teabags and had a lot of small boxes taking up room on my shelves. They are clean looking, well made and a nice size. Together, they will provide plenty of room for all of our herbal teas, that is 16 different kinds, standing up. The tea bags fit nicely into each of the compartments and are easily seen through the glass top. I did have to leave the lid up for a day to air out the glue smell before storing the tea bags. Put one on top of the other on the shelf in the pantry to save space. Happy with the purchase.
