This fits over most everything and stops exploding bowls of whatever from spattering the inside of the microwave. We have a smaller one and this one. If it fits at the rim of the plate/bowl, great - if it fits over the rim of the plate/bowl... STILL WORKS. Seriously, as long as it makes it to the edge (or beyond) of whatever plate or bowl (or tupperware) you are trying to reheat food in, it will protect your microwave from eruptions and whatnot. I feel (in our humble opinion and experience) that it makes the food reheat faster and prevents it from drying out when reheating such things as lasagna or meatballs, etc. Just putting that out there. Great purchase.UPDATE:We’ve used these almost daily for a long time and they’ve held up beautifully through wear & dishwashing. I’ve included a picture to show all the splatter crud that would end up all over the inside of a microwave if not for these awesome shields. I hate cleaning the microwave out - it’s a pain in the butt. These contain all of the splatter & just get tossed in the washer.

Anyone that owns a microwave also needs to own a splatter guard. If I had known about the existence of this and how great it works, I would've bought one sooner.— SPLATTER —If you occasionally microwave canned goods/ soups/ leftovers, you will notice it splatters and food gets everywhere in your microwave. Well, after using this, that splatter has been reduced to almost nothing.— IF YOUR MICROWAVE IS DIRTY —Clean your microwave fully before you use this cover, so you will see how much it helps.In a small bowl, pour 1/2 cup of water. Get one lemon and cut into four parts, squeeze two parts into the water, drop the other two into the water along with the squeezed lemons. Microwave for three minutes. This will loosen whatever food you have in there and you can easily wipe the insides clean. Once you start using the cover, you will rarely have to clean it again.— DESIGN —You would think this is just a splatter cover, but it's been carefully designed. This is a transparent cover that goes over your plate or bowl; this lets you see any food splatter. The roundness fits perfectly over 10" plates, and on top of bowls. There is a little handle at the top to hold as you're taking it on and off. There are holes around the top to vent off any steam (and there will still be steam), so be careful when handling once your food is done; sometimes it's best to let it sit for a few minutes. This cover will eventually get dirty so don't forget to clean it when it gets too dirty for you.*** TIP ***Do not let the top of your food touch the plastic! Do not do this. I accidentally did it one time, and it melted and fused together with my food. It can handle shielding your food, but once your food touches the cover, the microwave energy that heats up your food will heat up, and melt, the plastic.— SUMMARY —This is a very functional splatter guard for your microwave, and the best one you can buy because of the size, the handle, and the air vents, compared to other brands. Get one today if you want to keep the inside of your microwave clean. Recommended.

Works great to keep the mess down in the microwave. Plus, we use pyrex glass dishes to store our food and when reheating in the microwave, I don't like using the covers as they seem to get too hot and soften the plastic which ruins the shape of them. This is easy to remove off of a dish and does not get too hot. When I received the cover, it had 3 slots on top for air to vent through, although the plastic was not cut through all the way. I am not sure if this was a defect or not, but there was a very thin layer of plastic covering 2 of the 3 vent holes(see photos), so I just stuck a knife through the holes to get the vents open. No biggie though.
