It even says in the question section THAT ITS PRINTED IN ENGLISH. It’s NOT!!!! It’s in Spanish!!! The entire control panel is in Spanish, yet ALL the instructions are English. Now WTH that is boggles my mind! It also came VERY dirty, like it sat in a shed in the dirt for a year first. Maybe it was a return they tried to pawn off as new? Next time I’m going to Walmart! I’d say it’s a $30 blender pretending to be twice the price. I’d say look elsewhere.

This blender is effective, but absolutely deafening. The motor is powerful - I had the glass container nearly come unscrewed one time just from the action and vibration of the blender blades. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that I don't want to be anywhere near this thing when it's running. The pre-programmed frozen drink button works well. I actually fill the blender with my ingredients and then take the darn thing outside. It is louder than our table saw. Instead of taking it outside, my husband uses his professional hearing protection when he uses it and everyone else in the house clears the room or heads outside. As an aside, the metal band on the motor part is barely glued on and came right off and left a sticky residue.

Bought this for my daughter and I have one as well. This is a very nice blender. Works well, and I love the programmed buttons that can be used for drinks, and other items.Definitely recommend. Not a bad price for a great functioning blender. I've had mine for over a year and have had no problems with it. It crushes ice, makes frozen margaritas, pina coladas, milk shakes, salsa, on and on.The blades are very sharp. Also, a neat trick to do for salsa (and other things) is to replace the pitcher with a regular mouth ball jar. Attach the blades to the top of the jar, attach as you would the pitcher and blend/pulse carefully (it's a glass jar, not the HEAVY duty pitcher) and your salsa is in a storage container without using extra dishes. So, I've bought two of these now---for my daughter and myself and I would definitely buy for a gift in the future if the need arises.

Disappointed in this blender. I read all reviews and was excited about this purchase. Takes a bit longer to blend my green smoothies which I can live with. But the lid does not stay on which is so frustrating and the glass pitcher does not securely fit into the base. It rotates the entire time the blender is on. I have to hold the pitcher in place with one hand while holding the lid on with the other. I don't know if I just got a mismatched or odd set, but it wasn't a good purchase for me at all.

For the price, you can't do better! I see no reason to spend $200+ on some of the bigger names (looking at you Vitamix). I use this at least 3 times a day, once for green smoothies and two to three more times for protein shakes. The green smoothies consist of carrots that I don't cut too finely, I simply add them to the bottom of the blender and let it do the work for me.I set it for ice chopping, step away and let it do its thing. After the ice chop cycle I'll just manually set it on high for a bit and it tears stuff up. Pretty sure the power source could double as an outboard motor on a bass boat! However, as my headline suggested.... Its LOUD! If you're up early and everyone else in the house is asleep, you're gonna wake them. But, that's what comes from that kind of power, just plan ahead.I had an inexpensive Oster that lasted me the better part of 6 years which also came with a food processing attachment, to my delight it also fits this model. Looks like most Oster parts are interchangeable which is a nice touch. This particular purchase did not have a f.p. attachment but I think you can order one.Bottom line- Buy this!

I had a cheap old Oster blender that I just loved. Eventually, I replaced it with the Ninja. The Ninja could not do what my old Oster did. And then, when the Ninja melted in my dishwasher, I bought this blender. I am in LOVE with this blender. Waaay better than the Ninja in performance. My nut milks are awesome, my smoothies are smoothies instead of chunkies, and it's quieter than the Ninja. You will not regret getting this product - as long as you don't put the top in the dishwasher. That's a no-no.

Poor quality. I upgraded to a Ninja for another $100 & it was SO worth it. This Oster is good for light jobs, for the newbiecook or just blending a batter. But just does not cut it (pun not intended) for the heavier jobs on a daily basis. I returned it.

This is a good blender. I like that it accepts Oster's line of jars and blades. The reversing function helps get things going and un stuck. But it is still loud like all blenders that use inexpensive AC motors.Hear this Oster.....You really need to offer a blender with a nice DC motor that uses your existing jars. You quite possibly could put Vitamix out of business. You know I am right. Just do it.

This blender does a great job of making smoothies, including chopping up the veggies. There may be tiny flecks of leaf -- I mean really tiny -- but to me the far cheaper cost of this blender makes up for having some little bits in my smoothie. The main reason I'm giving it four stars is that you do have to hold on to the top of the blender so it doesn't turn in the base, loosening the bottom and causing leakage. I saw a review where someone was complaining that it leaded and I bet that was the problem. I'll typically pause after blending a few items and make sure the jar base is still tight.Everything else is great and it has enough power to do the job. I'm making a full jar of green smoothie a day (two servings) and the blender is working like a champ. If you don't want to pay around $500 for a super-blender, this one is a good alternative.

Best blender we've ever had! We make smoothies a lot. With my old blender, I had to stop it once in a while and get in there with a butter knife in order to break up the frozen fruit or stir it so that the ingredients would go to the bottom to be blended. I'd have to do that 3-4 times per smoothie mix. With this Oster Fusion blender, I just throw in the ingredients, press "On," and the "Frozen Drinks/Smoothies" button and let it whirl. The blades automatically reverse and forward enough that no ingredients are left unpulverized. I've never had to mess around with the butter knife again now that I have this blender! Yay! Easy to clean, too. Highly recommended.

We decided on this blender after our favorite Cuisinart broke. We've only used twice, and the blending was just 'okay'. I like the glass jar, but the base seems very flimsy and made of cheap plastic

Quieter than our previous Hamilton Beech. What I really love is that if any of the pitcher parts break, you can replace them with Oster products. HB doesn't sell replacement parts, so you simply throw away the entire unit if you break a pitcher or whatnot. I also purchased the milkshake blade, which is great for powdered drinks.I'm always impressed by how well the lid dampens the sound, as when I remove it to dump in more ingredients (or just open the small chute in the lid) the blender really roars—put the lid back on and it's like I've gone into another room.Tips on sound: Use a flat fabric placemat under the unit to absorb sound/vibration.

I bought this to do the Mason jar thing - most regular Mason Jars will screw into the base of Oster blenders so you can use this like a Magic Bullet. So far, so good. The blades/motor are powerful and a good choice of front panel buttons for pre-sets and manual control. My only concern is the gasket between the blade assembly and the jar. Very thin and looks like it may fail sooner than later so I'm buying a few more to keep on hand. In fact, there are several options for replacement parts like gaskets, blades and bases so I'm satisfied that this will serve me for many years.

So far 5 stars. I have burned out blenders with my delicious thick smoothies - including a very expensive one. So have learned to tell when I am taxing the motors, and have extended the life of my blenders since. I anticipate this blender will not be so problematic. With its reverse option it does a great job at my smoothies with no strain on the motor. I am very pleased. It was worth spending a little more - and worth NOT spending a lot more. The reversible option is also great for crushing jobs.

Wanted to try green smoothies for my husband and I for breakfast since he is a strictly meat and potatoes kind of guy, but didn't want to have to spend $400 on a Vitamix and then decide we didn't want to use it. This blender makes awesome smoothies. It is a little loud, but it does the job perfectly. It is very solid and doesn't wander on the counter even when loaded with frozen fruits and veggies. I love the heavy glass container and the fact that it comes apart very easily for cleaning. We've used it almost daily for months. It does everything I need it to do--I don't need a Vitamix!
