If, like me, you're buying this for the hamper type space in the bit hanging from the bottom, don't! The material used looks like it should be sturdy canvas, but it's a cheap plastic that wreaks of petroleum. Initially it felt like an actual fabric, so I threw it in the laundry in an attempt to get rid of the awful smell. However, it became a shredded, unusable mess that had to be thrown out. If I had known that would happen, I would have put it into a sealed bag to give to a friend who could use it as a guide to make a similar bag from actual fabric. Otherwise, the rest of the product seems sturdy enough and will be now be used as a simple luggage rack, but very disappointed.

I bought this luggage rack for the beach house. The problem was that I would just live out of my luggage, and everything would spill over the floor.With this rack, as with any luggage rack, I keep my case off the floor and within reach.What makes this rack special is the fabric basket.You can use that basket for anything.Most obviously you would use it for laundry, keeping it separate from the clean clothes in the suitcase.Just remove the rails and toss the laundry, basket and all, in the wash.At the moment I use it for shoes. I tend to bring a variety of shoes with me - sneakers, flip flops, loafers, etc . You can keep the area tidy by tossing them all in the basket so you aren't tripping all over them.I'm considering getting another to place on the porch by the front door. Toss your sandy flip-flops in here and keep the sand out of the house.If you are considering a luggage rack, get this one, with the basket. You will find a use for the basket, I'm sure.

I had read that some little complained of a chemical smell but I bought it anyway. The smell really is that bad. I put it in the guest closet and the chemical smell smacked you like a bag of bricks when you opened the closet door. I soaked it for 8 hrs in vinegar & water and then washed it...48 hrs later it smelled again. I soaked it for 12 hrs in baking soda & water a week ago...so far, so good. But I shouldn't have to do all this! The company needs to do something about the smell.

I ordered this to have on hand for guests in our home. I set it up right away and left it in the guest room, which is also the room I use for my 6 mo old's naps during the day. When I walked back in, the smell of the luggage rack hit me in the face, hard. It smells like chemicals and plastic. I tend to be bothered by the of gasses from things, so I put the luggage rack out on the back deck to air out. We're going on 10 days of airing out, and the product still smells very strongly. I haven't brought it back into the house for use yet. It seems good and sturdy, and looks nice. BUT, if you tend to be bothered by the smell of things, I'd think twice before ordering this.

I live my life out of a suitcase, I’m a Flight Attendant. Stay in many hotels and use lots of luggage racks. Take it from a pro this is a great luggage rack for the price. It fits a regular size roller bag no problem. Convenient , Sturdy, and beautiful! Great for a guest room! No problem putting the rails on for the laundry bag. I did not experience any smell as indicated by previous reviews. The laundry bag is bigger than expected. The dark wood looks high end. All and all I think this a great luggage rack when used as a luggage rack.

I love these luggage stands! I bought two. I just moved to Florida and have had quite a few visitors from home. I wanted to make their stays more enjoyable. These will allow them to put their suitcases up of the floor and have a place for dirty laundry. I thought the color "espresso" was going to be brown / black but it is completely black. I really expected something cheaper because of the price but they are so sturdy. A great value!

I love the idea of the built in laundry bag. That is a super cool and uncommon feature. The rack itself feels well made and sturdy. I did not have any issues with the rack or assembling it with the laundry bag. I am very disappointed though because the bag has a very strong, synthetic, plastic, chemical type of smell and I haven't actually been able to use the bag yet because the smell is so overwhelming. I see people complain of the same thing in other reviews. Not sure what to do to make it go away but would hate to not use the feature that made me buy this rack in the first place. I really wish the bag was made of canvas :(

We are very happy with this. I read the reviews and there were many comments about the odor so I was a bit nervous. There definitely was a strong smell. I tried Febreeze and leaving it outside for a couple of days. That didn't really help much. Then I washed it, that helped a little but the odor was still pretty strong. My husband had a spray for hunting that is an odor eliminator. We sprayed it several times after it was washed and that did the trick!! We love it and our guests use it regularly.

We really like our luggage holder. We often have guests and luggage is sprawled over the floor, so I picked up one of these hoping it would help make living out of a suitcase easier.It is lightweight, making it easy to move around. But it seems sturdy enough to do the job it was designed for...though, I would not sit on it.Very happy with our purchase. The grandkids like the bag underneath to put their toys in.

I love the concept of having this readily available in my guest room, but it's certainly shorter than anticipated. Ideal for unloading a suitcase while seated on the bed, not standing. There was a strong mothball smell when I first opened it but after a few rounds of fabric refresher, it seems to have dissolved. I have to cut the canvas fabric on one end in order to get the rods through, but other than that, fairly easy to put together. Looks great!

The product structurally is ok so far but what upset me was the obnoxious smell that is coming from it. I bought this piece for my Airbnb and was immediately concerned what my guests were going to think of the smell omitted from the product. If you decide to buy this product, plan on airing it out for a couple weeks before use.

The rack itself is fine, but the hanging part smelled overwhelming of plastic I couldn’t even use it— I tried everything, let it sit outside for a week to air out, then in the freezer, still smelled. Then I tried spraying it with essential oils and leaving it outside again, it rained for a couple days, still smelled to the point where I couldn’t be in the same room. Last thing I tried, the tag says it can be washed in cold water, tried that, it totally shredded the plastic part of the liner, and STILL reeked. Don’t waste your money on this style, buy one that’s just the rack.

Bought this for my guest room and the size and usefulness is perfect. My latest guest commented on how wonderful it was to have the additional laundry hamper beneath it for her use. Even when it's not in use for my guests, I use it to place storage boxes and bins that I need to go through or for mailed packages that go out or come in so I don't have to bend down to empty them. Wonderful product and easy set-up!

Don’t buy. I’m keeping for the rack because I need it this weekend but the canvas smells awful. Washed twice and tried baking soda trick. I can smell it when I walk into laundry room so I’m not bring it upstairs. So disappointed.

Great combo - luggage storage on top, with a place to put either dirty clothes or linens underneath. Folds up & can slip into a closet when not in use. Comments about the laundry bag's "smell" are silly; it's typical of most everything manufactured in Asia these days, it has some off-gassing, & if you're extremely sensitive to chemicals, you might notice it. Air the item out for 24 hours in the sun, & any smell will be gone. That said, I didn't notice anything with this luggage rack.

We put this in our guest room as we don't have a dirty clothes hamper there and it worked really well. We sometimes have guests for more than a couple of days when dirty clothes can start to pile up. We were glad to offer this option for guests to put their suitcase on top and catch dirty clothes underneath.

This is an attractive storage organizer but the hamper material has such a strong chemical odor that it is offensive. We tried to air it out by leaving it outside for 2 weeks but this did nothing to diminish the smell, it will be returned.

Love the product, really convenient and a nice little touch; however, like other reviewers mentioned, the smell of the bag is INSANELY strong. I let it air out, outside, for a few days, sprayed it with Mrs. Meyers Lavender spray and it still smelled. It did finally wear off, but I was afraid our guests would get high from the fumes! Ha ha.

Not as sturdy as I would like but for the money it does the job. I wouldn't trust more than 40ish pounds on this. Expect to put rubber feet on the legs if you have hardwood floors. Give the laundry bag a couple days to off-gas and the plastic smell will subside. It's looks just as it is advertised.

Was nice to have when my mother came to town. Wasn't able to clear drawer space in the room she was using, so this allowed her access to her suitcase. She appreciated having a separate place for her dirty laundry as well. Took off one star because it definitely had a strong plastic smell for a few days after I opened it.
